1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria: This a great driving dependable Ford. I have driven it extensively running errands through metro Phoenix and Scottsdale. It starts on the first bump of the key every time. I never experienced it heating up in traffic. The transmission shifts perfectly via the 3 on the tree. The brakes work great. This is not a restored car. It is a well maintained and kept up driver.
Body: The body is in very good shape. the paint is older. The roof polishes up nicely but has faded. The lower blue has been painted in the last years and looks very nice. I have documented the flows that i found in the gallery. The only rust I find is in the lower rocker supports. There are pictures of this in the gallery. The chrome and stainless are original, and shows well. It is not show quality. The continental kit was added in recent years, and is in excellent shape.
Chassis: Detailed chassis shots are in the gallery. Rust free with the exception of the supports for the rockers. At one point it was undercoated but most if the undercoating has worn off. this allows for a close inspection of the clean floor boards and frame. The front end was rebuilt in the last years allowing the car to handle and track properly. The power steering was recently installed. It is a factory unit. The exhaust is a new stainless steel system. Wheels are aluminum Center Line. Tires have little to no wear, but are a few years old. Rear springs were replaced. The rear axle was resealed including new bearings. .
Interior: Very nicely restored to original seats, door panels and carpet. The Chrome on the dash is original and shows well. The gauges work with the exception of the gas gauge. It was recently repaired and is now showing full all of the time. The headliner has some seam separation, but it is not hanging down. The radio does not work.
Motor and gear box: The motor run fantastically. Currently there is a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor with performs perfectly cold and hot. The radiator was just replaced. The motor was rebuilt in the last 1000 miles by \Ricks auto in Lake Havasu, Az. Motor pulls hard in all three gears. Transmission was re-sealed at the same time as the motor. Clutch was replaced at the same time. Chirps second when you want it to.
